A keen instrumentalist, Max Cheng picked up the viola within a year, and currently holds an ABRSM Grade 8 in both the viola and violin.
Apart from delving in Western Classical Music, he is well acquainted with Chinese Classical music and was the student conductor of the Anderson Junior College Chinese Orchestra. A former member of the SAF Music and Drama Company’s string quartet, he has accumulated an extensive amount of performing experiences for important functions and public events. Memorable guests include President S. R. Nathan, and Minister for Defence Mr Teo Chee Hean.
Mr Cheng has also played with the Chamber Players and Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra.
