The Fritz Quartet is a Singapore-based string quartet, made up of four young and classically trained musicians. Effectively protean with a wide range of repertoire from Classical, Jazz to Pop, the Fritz Quartet is a self-managed group, focused primarily on sharing its love for music with its audiences and exploring new frontiers through collaborations with other artistes.

Notable public performances by the Fritz Quartet include "Fritz Quartet Presents Tango" at Library @ Esplanade in February 2008 as well as “Silver Screen Classics”, a programme initiated by the Esplanade and presented at the Esplanade Concourse in May 2007. They have also performed for “Saturdays at the Square”, a community project for Joo Chiat Constituency, with Member of Parliament Chan Soo Sen as Guest-of-Honour. The dynamic and youthful Fritz Quartet was also featured in the Music Video for National Day 2007.

In December 2006, the Fritz Quartet collaborated with Italian crooner Patrizio Buanne, during his promotional stint in Singapore. At the invitation of Universal Music Singapore, the Fritz Quartet took the stage with Buanne at the private showcase held at Movida, St James Powerhouse. The event was hosted by Singapore's Radio Station Gold 90FM.

Locally, the Fritz Quartet has also collaborated with alternative band Nightsound at the Arts House Play Den in October 2007. Titled “Nightsound in Motion”, the concert was held in conjunction with the band’s album launch of “Circus in Motion”, dedicated to the Business Times Budding Artists Fund. Active in supporting the works of local artistes, the Fritz Quartet has also performed the “Coda” from the Second Movement of String Quartet no 2, written by local composer Tan Chan Boon.

Most recently, the Fritz Quartet was invited to perform for the prestigious 2007 President’s Design Award held at the Esplanade Concert Hall in November. Mr Sellapan Ram Nathan, President of the Republic of Singapore was the Guest of Honour. This award ceremony was also the opening event for the Singapore Design Festival 2007.
